Horror film title: Silhouette

Logline: A horror story about a teenage boy
being hunted by unknown shadow creatures as he
enters an abandoned field.
Media language
Website plan
- I will create a website with a gloomy and
black with a summary of the story and images. There will be an audio clip
with the director and social at the bottom of the page
Photography plan
- My photography will be a dark alley way with a
mysterious shadow.
- A teenage boy being haunted and chased by the
creatures
- The setting of a wide field with a large tree and the moon
Branding/typography
- I will use a dark and eerie font in a dark background with red highlights to signify danger and mystery
Media representations
The film will represent young person who is male and black due to the main character
I plan to reinforce/subvert stereotypes by having a male protagonist which reinforces the stereotype of male taking riskier situations and being brave. Also subvert the stereotype of a night time setting in horror with a mysterious creature who are sinister.
Target audience
I will target fans of independent cinema young adults from the ages 16-30, it will be promoted on social
media platforms for fans of niche independent films.
Silhouette with give personal identity as the character will be related
to others who are curious and want to explore. Also, as a teenager he would related
to people in his age range. The story allows escapism as it is to entertain the
viewer.
